First of all I have to say I was saddened by Prince dying. The best ever concert I have attended is Prince at the MGM in Las Vegas. He was amazing. The word is that they have found thousands of unreleased songs and albums in a secret vault.

Professional basketball is coming to Omaha.  They will be a part of the NBLA and they will play at the Ralston arena. They will be known as the Omaha Chargers and a Rhino is in their logo. They will have a 20 game season from September to November. They hope to build rosters with familiar local names. They will look at Division II and NAIA players and may feature UNO, UNL, and Creighton players.

The Nebraska baseball team beat Nicholls State today. Jake Meyers was the pitching and batting hero. He pitched seven scoreless innings and had a home run at the plate.

Omaha World-Herald's Sam McKewon says that Nebraska has a disruptor. A person that will shake things up for Nebraska and move us up a couple of notches in college football. He is wide receivers coach Keith Williams. He is the king of Twitter and Calibraska.

John Wall says the Wizards hired Scott Brooks to win a title, not to sign Kevin Durant. I'm pretty sure that Kevin Durant won't be playing for them next year.

NU volleyball packs the Ogallala gym for an exhibition game yesterday versus Colorado. NU swept Colorado 25-16, 25-20, and 25-21. Briana Holman, and All-American transfer from LSU, had a great debut with nine kills and a pair of blocks. Kadie Rolfzen had 12 kills and six digs. Amber Rolfzen had seven kills and nine blocks.

Cubs win today versus Cinncy 9-0. Alex Gordon goes yard today and the Royals win too!!

The future of Nebraska football may be in the hands of the youthful defensive line.

Buster Olney has the Cubs the best team in baseball right now and the Royals a second.
