Guest writer played against Rickie Fowler and Kyle Stanley

Guest writer Joe Kublick was in a threesome at the 2004 U.S. Amateur golf tournament at the Olympic Club in san Fransisco.  On the left is Kyle Stanley who rated is 57th in the world, has over $4 million in earnings on the PGA, and has won on the PGA in 2012. The man in the middle is Rickie Fowler, a well recognized name because of his dress attire and playing ability. He has also won on the PGA this year and has had a hot streak going lately. Our guest writer, Joe Kubick, is on the right.

Jordan Larson is headed to her first Olympic Games as a member of the United States women’s volleyball team. The three-time All-American at Nebraska from the small town of Hooper was named to the 12-team roster on Tuesday evening.

Larson joins former Huskers Lori Endicott (1992 and ’96), Allison Weston (2000) and Nancy Metcalf (’04) in making the Olympic team. Metcalf tried out for this year's team but did not make the final cut. He is listed as a replacement player.
