What's new in sports!

Nate Thurmond has passed away! He's the first player in NBA history to record a quadruple-double in a game.

Jordan Spieth broke par for the first time in his last 10 major championship rounds today!

The San Diego Padres won today with Edwin Jackson getting his first win. He entered the game with a 5.91 ERA and was 0-1. Johnny Cueto was the loser for San Fransisco. He entered the game 13-1 with a 2.47 ERA. San Diego won 5-3. You just never know.

Gretna OL Patrick Arnold is working hard to get an NU offer.

Henrik Stenson won the British Open today to capture his first career major.What an event it was with Phil Mickelson and Stenson going back and forth until later in the event. Stenson was amazing!! He is also the first Swedish golfer to ever win a major.

A judge has dropped the case seeking a balloon ban from Nebraska football home games.

The Nebraska baseball team picked up a graduate transfer from North Carolina. His name is Alex Raburn and he has family connections to Nebraska. A lot of his family is from Cambridge. Raburn was .250 hitter last year and he is a pretty good utility player on defense.
