Olympics and Sports Shorts!

Serena Williams was ousted by 21-year old Elina Svitolina 6-4,6-3. Huge upset!

Bernie Sanders just bought a $600,000 summer home.

Gretna's Mick Stoltenburg is a frontrunner to start at defensive tackle.

The reports are that QB transfer Tanner Lee is looking real good even though he can't play this year.

Michael Rose-Ivey hurt his knee today in the first practice with pads. Hopefully its nothing serious. Chris Jones experienced a lot of cramping today in practice.

Langsdorf said that freshman wide receiver Derrion Grim is a strong candidate to play this year.

Newby, Wilbon, and Ozigbo are all pretty even and they may be used in specific situations this year. Look to Ozigbo to win the starting job but they will all play I think.

Coach Keith Williams says he doesn't see Stanley Morgan returning kicks this year again. So I wonder who they are thinking about for that role?  Tre Bryant?

Langsdorf praised Sam Cotton and wide receiver Tyler Hoppes. Is Hoppes our next Brandon Riley?

At practice today Armstrong threw an interception on the 2nd play of the session. Chris Jones got the pick. Armstrong didn't have a good day.

Lory Pugh becomes the youngest player ever to score a goal at the Olympics.

Husker volleyball is back at practice and are working to defend their National Championship!
