Sport Shorts!

TCU beat Texas Tech today 3-2 in the College World Series. One point of interest is that TCU has the best ERA in the nation at 2.19. Prior to today's game the Frogs' bullpen has given up only two runs in 28 1/3 innings.

I like Vanderbilt and Virginia to head the field although who really knows what will happen. I pick mainly on the fact that they seem to be doing well and have beaten some pretty good teams. That's it.

Martin Kaymer led from start to finish in the US Open and won by eight strokes. Impressive but I lost a little interest when the lead was so much.

Casey Kasem died at the age of 82. I listened to his program and loved it for many years.

San Antonio wins the NBA Championship in five games!! A surprise to many but the best TEAM! They make it the game look very fluid. Now can we get off of comparing the Heat to Michael Jordan's Bulls. Not even close.

Vince Young has retired and has joined the Texas Longhorns staff.

Jimmie Johnson wins again at Michigan today. Rookie Kyle Larson had an accident and a speeding penalty and still was in the Top 10. Impressive. Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne have a silent feud going and the question is "When will it erupt?"

Danica Patrick was 17th today and is having her best finishes lately.

OK, get ready for fantasy football soon. Cam Newton is a hot item in some of the magazines.

The Spurs, Lakers, and Heat have combined to win 13 of the last 16 championships.

The Kansas City Royals won again today 6-3 and the Cubs shut out the Phillies. The Royals have won seven straight.
