The Cornhuskers signed one of the top pro-style quarterbacks today from Texas. Patrick Witt is from Wylie, Texas. He is the 4th recruit from Texas and the 8th overall. He was recruited by Jay Norvell and Shawn Watson.
In reviewing the video of Witt, he has a very strong and accurate arm. He is definately a pro-style quarterback. He runs a 4.9 40 and is very strong physically. He plans to graduate in December and enter UN-L the second semester.
He is a good one and should challenge for the starting job in 2007. Most of his development will be how fast he can pick up the Nebraska system. Being in school next spring will be a huge plus.
